During the recently concluded Oil and Power conference which was held on 29th to 30th November 2019 at Crwon Hotel Juba, South Sudan and Egypt have reached a crucial agreement on bilateral issues related to oil and gas industry of both countries. The two sisterly countries signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in oil and gas sector. Egypt sees South Sudan as a very important partner in the region and the two countries can benefit from one another, said the Egyptian representative during the signing of the MoU.

As usually is the case with this investment conference, important deals such as this one is common. The networking was great, and many investment decisions were made both globally and regionally. Important discussion on financing the industry as the theme of the conference detailed precisely. Other major topics and issues discussed during South Sudan Oil & Power included enhancements the technology in the oilfields, increasing improved and enhanced oil recovery techniques at maturing fields with flagging output and securing financing for power and infrastructure.
